The Woolpack Inn currently has a food hygiene rating of 1. This was awarded on Tuesday 9th September 2025 by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.

Prior to our inspection a Vac-pac was ordered but hadn't arrived yet. It is now in place and we are following all the necessary guidelines set out by EHO.
We have also implemented our Food Safety Management System and improved both our hot water flow into the kitchen as well as placing fly screens at the back entrance of the kitchen, however we are awaiting fly zappers to be installed in the next two weeks.
The EHO officer revisited today and was happy with all our improvements including labelling, brush strips in the cellar and chains for the gas. Unfortunately she cannot rescore the establishment for another two months but she is confident that we will achieve a high score when she revisits and we have requested a revisit as soon as possible
